VP Finance Job Descriptions

  • The Vice President of Financial Reporting will lead the External Financial Reporting team, including overseeing the team and execution of the various SEC filings and other external financial reporting
  • Lead and manage the Financial Reporting team in the preparation and review of all SEC reporting, including the annual report, 10-K, 10-Q, earnings releases, 8-K, proxy statements and XBRL tagging
  • Compile financial statements, footnotes, management’s discussion and analysis, and other disclosures in compliance with General Acceptable Accounting Principles (GAAP) and subject to the Company’s control environment
  • Review and support controls surrounding financial information included in the company’s external communications, such as those for investor/analyst conferences, earnings calls and releases
  • Prepare and/or assist with quarterly and annual reporting to the Board of Directors, Disclosure Committee and Audit Committee
  • Prepare and manage the quarterly reporting calendar, including coordination with external auditors, executives, Finance, Legal and Investor Relations departments
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors in support of quarterly reviews and annual audits
  • Work collaboratively within Finance, Operations and Risk as well as partnering with the business units to assist with ad hoc projects

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience from public accounting and/or public multinational companies; including experience at a Big 4 accounting firm (preferably at manager level or above)
  • Must have prior hands-on SEC reporting experience
  • CPA license
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with Workiva
